Shiva and Shakti Philosophy and Practice with Elena Byers
Within yogic & tantric philosophy Shiva and Shakti can be understood as energetic principles existing in relationship with one another as a fluid, perpetual dance of union. One the formless ground of being, or pure awareness.
The other, the ever-shifting form of life arising from and melting back into it. Neither separate, but forever interwoven and supporting, informing and playing with one another. These qualities offer a wonderfully rich field of exploration through movement and meditation - which can often deepen our yoga practice in profound ways! Allowing us to experience the subtler energetic principles at play, and the fluid, inseparable nature of all that is.
Move, chant, pause, reflect - an extended practice open to anyone curious about yoga philosophy!

Autumn Flow to Yin with Wen Yee Kok
Join Wen for a 90-min slow and nourishing practice embracing autumn. As the days grow shorter and the air turns cooler, it’s time to embrace a slower pace, tuning inwards and reflecting on the year.
This practice invites you to embody the essence of autumn, a season associated with the metal element, the Lung and Large Intestine Meridian according to the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) - guiding us towards introspection and restfulness.
We will begin with some gentle Qigong-inspired flow that incorporates breathwork and self-tapping/massage techniques, to awaken and circulate energy (prana) throughout the body. The practice will then gradually shift into stillness with longer-held yin poses supported by props, targeting our deeper connective tissues and guiding you into deep rest.

the bones of it with Sally Balfourth
As the days grow shorter, how can we befriend the darkness while not losing sight of the light? Although the bones of the body can feel like such a definite presence, symbols of both mortality and magic.
Though known for giving us shape and structure, they can be amazing guides into some of the more subtle layers too. We will explore through slow, somatic work and unfold into deep restorative practice.
Palace of the Pelvis with Sally Balfourth
The pelvis is dynamic, both fundamental to our daily functional movements and as a portal for deeper connection. And it can be both complex and contradictory; a holding place for both creative expression and shame.
This workshop is an invitation to pay attention and experience your relationship with the pelvic bowl and beyond. Sally holds this space to experience the subtleties of the pelvis. She feels strongly about pelvic health, particularly the pelvic floor, being part of a wider public health conversation.
